Blackjack is found in almost every casino and is one of the most popular card games. This is mostly because it is a relatively easy game to play. Blackjack is believed to have originated from France approximately 300 years ago and since then it has spread across the world to become one of the card games that attracts the most number of players at any casino. Realistic Games has created an online version of this game and it has been called Blackjack. This game can be found at Bingo Extra, the favourite online bingo site where you are allowed to play 5 hands simultaneously against the dealer.
Chip values that you will encounter on Blackjack, which is also known as twenty one, range from 1.00 to 200.00. You can select the value by pressing on the chips found on the bottom left hand side corner of the screen. Other buttons that you will find on Blackjack are Deal (submits your bet and deals the cards), Double Bet (doubles all bets on all hands), Undo (undoes bets in the order in which they were placed), Clear All (clears all bets), Repeat and Deal (repeats your previous bets and deals a new game) and Repeat Bet (repeats your previous bets without dealing a new game).
You may customize the appearance of this game by clicking on the preferences button, where you will be able to choose the colour of the table cloth, the appearance of the cards, insurance, even money and removal of bust cards. You may also select the ‘in-game warnings’ option, where a warning panel will show if the chosen hit or stand option has a negative impact on the hand. For example if you choose to stand on a hand value that is of 11 or less. You can also automatically stand on soft 19 and 20, and on hard 17, 18, 19 and 20.
After you have selected your preferred coin value, you may click on the betting areas on the blackjack table to place your desired stake. Any additional clicks on a particular betting area will increase the stake amount. Aces in the game are counted as 1 or 11, while other cards keep their current face value. Your aim in Blackjack, which is played with 6 decks of shuffled cards, is to try to beat the dealer by getting a hand count which is closest to 21, without going over 21.
The dealer will give out one card facing up on each of the betting areas and one card facing up to himself after you have placed your bet. Then another round of cards is dealt face up, however the dealer will keep his second card faced down. A natural blackjack is awarded if your first 2 cards are ace and 10, giving you the count of 21 in a hand. The dealer has no choice but to stand on all 17’s, while split is offered per hand with no re-splits. Having split aces you will be given one more card, with no double down option which is only available on any two cards, and it is allowed after non ace splits.
