Blackjack is one of the most popular casino card games that is played throughout the world. Blackjack is popular worldwide because it is a pretty simple card game. Realistic Games has created an online version of Blackjack called Hi Lo Blackjack which can be played at Bingo Extra. Your aim on this game is to have a hand value that is closer to 21 than that of the dealer’s hand value, without going over 21.
Chip values that you will find on Hi Lo Blackjack are 1, 5, 25, 100 and 500 and you will find these at the bottom left hand side corner of the screen. On this game, you will have the chance to play five hands at a time with 5 boxes that are found on the betting table, giving you more chances to win big. On Hi Lo Blackjack, you will find buttons such as ‘Deal’ which is used to submit your bets and deal the cards, ‘Double Bet’ that will allow you to double all bets on all boxes, ‘Undo’ which will remove bets in the order in which they were placed and the ‘Clear All button’ that will clear all bet boxes. Once you have placed your bets and clicked on the deal button, you will find the hit button that will allow you to receive another card, the stand button to end a hand and the double down button that will give you the opportunity to double the bet and receive one card.
Hi Lo Blackjack is played with a deck of 52 shuffled cards. The special feature on Hi Lo Blackjack is the Hi-Lo side bet which is applied to your initial cards, per box. Here you are betting on whether the second card dealt will be higher or lower than the first one. The Hi-Lo bet box can be activated by placing your bet in the corresponding Blackjack box. For the Hi-Lo side bet, the card ranking is per the point value as displayed on the card. Jack, Queen and Kings are ranked with a value of 11, 12 and 13 respectively, while aces have no point value. Once all Hi-Lo bets have been paid, the game reverts to Blackjack rules.
An Ace on Hi Lo Blackjack can count as either 1 or 11, depending on which you find to be more advantageous according to the hand value that you have. Cards from 2 to 9 keep their face values, while 10, Jack, Queen and King are all valued at 10. The suit of the card is of no importance on this game. The sum of the cards in each hand makes up the value of that hand. After you have pressed the deal button, the dealer will deal 2 cards for each hand which are face up while he also deals himself 2 cards with one exposed and one faced down. You will be offered splits, once per hand with no re splits and they do not qualify for enhanced Blackjack payout. Double Down is available on any two cards and is allowed after non Ace Splits. If you choose Double Down, you will be dealt one more card. After you have finished with your hand, the dealer will reveal his face down card to complete his hand where he must stand on all 17’s and then he will pay the winning bets while collecting the losing bets.
