Pai Gow is originally a Chinese game dating back to the Song Dynasty and it is normally played with a set of 32 Chinese dominoes. This domino game is still played in various major casinos across China, the U.S, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Pai Gow if translated means “make nine” and Pai Gow Poker is the American version of Pai Gow created by Sam Torosian and Fred Wolf, however instead of being played with the Pai Gow’s Chinese dominoes, Pai Gow Poker is played with playing cards bearing poker hand values. Bingo Extra presents to you Pai Gow Poker which is a variation of poker and an online table game designed by Play’n Go.

Your aim while playing Pai Gow Poker which is played with a 53-card deck of cards that includes a joker is to create two poker hands out of the seven card hand dealt by the dealer. The rules on Pai Gow Poker includes that the five card hand’s rank must exceed the two card hands, and that is why the five card hand is called the highest hand while the two card hand is known as the 2nd Highest.

By Clicking the Play button you can compare hands after they have been arranged. You can use the House Way button to arrange the cards according to the same strategy used by the dealer and you can press Deal to start the round after a bet has been placed. You may use the Rebet button to place the same initial bet as in the preceding round.

The two card hand can consist of one pair and high cards, whereas the five card hands uses the standard poker hand rankings such as straight, flush, full house or straight flush. The joker can be used to as an ace or to complete a straight, flush or straight flush. There are some rules that are applied while playing Pai Gow Poker such as cards are re-shuffled after each round and are played with 1 deck of cards. The 5 card hand must always rank higher than the 2 card hand. A winning hand pays 1:1 on the Ante Bet, minus a 5% house fee taken by the casino. If only one of your two hands beats the dealer’s corresponding hand, the game is considered as a push and your Ante Bet is returned, however if both of the dealer’s hand beat yours, you lose your Ante Bet. If your high hand and your low hand beat the dealer’s corresponding hands, you win the game.
